Recently, Avid announced some significant changes in how they package ProTools HD software. The end user no longer needs to purchase expensive HD bundles that included Avid hardware to get access to the fully featured HD software. ProTools HD is now available as a software only purchase. Also, Avid now support Third Party DigiLink I/O’s via the purchase of a one time, $395- Cndn License.
HHB Canada and Merging Technologies are running a promotion from now until Dec 31 2016 that will make it easier than ever for ProTools HD clients to use Merging’s State of the Art AD-DA Networked Converters in their system. Here are the details:
- HHB Canada and our Merging resellers will deduct $395- from the Retail purchase price of any Merging Horus or Hapi Converter that includes a Merging PT64 card
- HHB Canada and our Merging resellers will deduct $135- from the Retail purchase price of a Merging PT64 card for an existing Horus or Hapi converter
- Multiple orders for Horus and/or Hapi converters qualify for a single $395- discount, as the Digilink License covers an unlimited channel count
- If an existing ProTools HDX customer has an upgrade plan the license fee is not applicable, however the $395- discount is still applicable
